Tingshuset

Tinghuset (The courthouse) was inaugurated on 29 November 1926.

The courthouse was built for Tössbo county and was designed by the architect Elon Bernhard, who is also responsible for Bengtsfors courthouse.
Between 1849 and 1925, the district court shared premises with the town hall court in Åmål town hall. In the summer of 1999, Åmål District Court was incorporated into Vänersborg District Court and Åmål ceased to be a district court.
