The bell tower

The bell tower (Klockstapeln) is mounted and set up by the Lake Vänern Sailing Board when they had their activities there.

It must be a clock from Gälle uddes lighthouse. A fog signal bell was installed there in 1905 with a clockwork driven by pendulums. This bell would give a signal every 30 seconds in fog to guide ships in the right direction. The bell and bell tower were installed at the current location in 1960 or 1961.
