Trio med blues - Annika Heed

In 2011 Annika Heed had a large solo exhibition in Åmåls Konsthall (Art gallery of Åmål) where many musicians who played at the festival were included as sculptures and drawings. Nils Lönnsjö, who started and ran the Åmål Blues Festival for many years, took the initiative to buy ‘Trio med blues’. The Åmål Blues Association paid for part of the purchase and Åmål Municipality paid for the other part. We don't know in what proportions, but it was a fun collaboration. Nisse welded the plinth, then it had to be cast in place.

We assume that it is the municipality that owns the group, the blues association probably only contributed with a contribution. We had a nice inauguration with blues music of course and I'm very happy that the trio is in Åmål which is such a nice and nice city. As an addition, I can tell you that in 2016 we hung 10 metre large drawings on the church, three on each side and one by the chancel, almost outside the church walls from the roof. You could call them monumental drawings.
